Rodizio Grill: A brand new Brazilian steak house, located at 5911 Fruitville Rd in Sarasota, opened in the beginning of October. Opened by a group of three Sarasota restaurateurs, offering a combined 48 years of experience. A 20 plus year old brand, which offers a unique dining experience with a playful Brazilian spirit, a family friendly atmosphere with an authentic menu. The unique concept features rotisserie grilled meat, expertly seasoned and carved table side by traditionally dressed Gauchos. While the meats are the main attraction, they are complemented with an award-winning gourmet salad bar, marked by original salads, fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, and authentic hot side dishes. Hunsader Farms: Each year in October, Hunsader Farms in Bradenton, hosts its annual Pumpkin Festival on the weekends leading up to Halloween. Always a fantastic time with families of all ages. There is a large variety craft show, hayrides, pumpkin patch, pony rides, homemade ice cream and other sweets, food galore, zip line, rock climbing wall, fresh produce, face painting, a petting zoo and so much more! Mark this on your calendar to attend next year, it’s worth the wait!
Fort Hamer Bridge: The newest bridge crossing the Manatee River is officially open! Although delayed a couple months due to the stormy summer season, the bridge connecting Parrish and Lakewood Ranch celebrated its opening in mid October. The bridge has been in the making for over 100 years and has finally come to fruition. The bridge runs from Fort Hamer Road in Parrish to Upper Manatee Road in East County and is nearly a mile and a half long. This bridge provides another alternative to US 301, I-75 and Rye Road.
Acropolis Greek Taverna: The grand opening of this Greek staple, located in the UTC at 229 N. Cattleman Rd, Sarasota was last week and they celebrated with free food & free drinks! Missed it? That’s OK, because the restaurant is operating in regular business hours now under the motto of “Greek food, Greek wine, Greek fun” with an energetic atmosphere featuring belly dancing, plate breaking, napkin throwing, zorba dancing and live music. Check out the experience and enjoy great food!
